Quote Wall

2 posts in one day... a new record for me!

All of the quotes are in from my family. Now all that is left is the time consuming task of attempting to paint them onto the wall. Mom brought an overhead projector home to help with this task. Anyone with a steady hand want to come over and help paint? :)

Here are the quotes:

I love you, sweet dreams, goodnight.
- Mommy
(This is something I used to say EVERY night before I went to bed to my mom. It became one long word)

Twinkle, twinkle little star, do you know how loved you are?
- Aunt Robin
(she was going to paint this on a canvas, but we are putting it on the wall instead. Aunt Robin gave Blakely her first gift... an outfit from Vegas. She is very loved!)

Hi.
- Carson
(This is what he responded when his mom asked him if there was anything he would like to say to Blakely. He's 5 and a man of few words. He did come up with a second option, it was 'A,E, I, O' which are the vowels he has learned so far) :)

I am the "whosoever" God so loved! John 3:16
- Aunt Julie
(I didnt think she was ever going to turn one in... she was worried that it is so permanent on the wall and she didnt want to regret it later. It was worth the wait.) :)

Always kiss your baby goodnight, even if they are asleep.
- Nonnie
(Consider this one done mom! This is good advice from a mom with 4 babies of her own.) :)

All of God’s grace, in one precious little face.
- Uncle Brian
(This one caught me offguard... so precious... and so serious for Brian. I LOVE IT!)

Girls Stink.
- Garrett
(We had to put this one up. Robin & Casey said it was a classic... and it is! I think Garrett is still bitter this isnt a boy.)

The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Genesis 2:7
- Mason
(So precious. This is Mason's favorite bible verse. He picked this himself for the wall and called and read it to me. That means the world!)

I’m the baby…I’m the one crying.
-Uncle Scott
(My sisters and I convinced uncle Scott that he had to use this quote. When he was little he used these exact words to get his way and we will never let him live it down! That's what older sisters are for.)

I wished upon a star… and I was given you.
-Daddy
(Milo couldnt be happier that he is going to be a dad. She already has him wrapped around her tiny little finger. When we talk about her, or when he see's another little baby it brings tears to his eyes. She is already his world!)

Imagination is more important than knowledge… - Albert Einstein
-Uncle Casey
( I love this... Casey sent me 3 quotes to chose from, each one was serious or quirky and all of them were random... which is Casey in a nutshell. I love it! )

I didn’t ask to be a princess, but if the crown fits…
-Grandpa
(Now does this melt your heart or what? He came in while I was sitting at the table with my mom and handed me a slip of paper with his quote on it. My dad is truly a man of little words. That paper is going to find it's way into her baby book.)

Am still wondering why my quote caught you so have guard. I am in touch with my loving and compassionate side. I could have given a great Vince Lombardi quote like "If you believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile, it can be done." But Children are a precious gift from God (who are created in the image of Him) so don't be so shocked. I can't wait to see the little girl. PS... You do know girls can play football.

Oh Karen, I'm just gushing tears now. Milo's quote got them going. Your dad's, wow, because my dad is like that - a man of very few words. You are so lucky to have your family so close. Houston seems so far away at times like this. That is such a great idea, and I know it will be beautiful! PS - I'm addicted to this blogspot thing, thanks! Tell me if I'm commenting too much, k?
