Construction Zone

The nursery is still in progress. Slowly, but surely. This weekend we got some crown moulding for the nursery. Milo, with the help of my dad, got it all put up - THANK YOU! Milo just has to touch it all up now.

Mom worked on the bedskirt for the crib, which looks great! So far the curtains are done, and the bedskirt will be done once it's hemmed.

My mom and sister surprised me yesterday by buying a crib mattress, pad, & sheet for the crib. What a wonderful surprise it was. It looks great! The only thing the crib needs now is the comforter (which is almost done) and the bumper pad. When they brought me in to show me the crib I started crying when I saw the mattress they bought. Those of you close to me know that I left my job as a staffing manager, in July, to help my dad start up his new company. In doing so I took a pay cut and lost my benefits for the time being, which are very expensive when your pregnant with doctor bills. (In the long run this is the best thing for my family, because it allows me to help grow the family business, and be home with Blakely) Needless to say money is very tight and very sparse. To add insult to injury both my car and Milo's car broke down and we are having to pay for those costs as well as the mounting doctor bills. Milo and I had decided we were going to have to hold off on a crib mattress for awhile. For my sister and mom to buy this for us, was an answered prayer.

I will show off more pictures as we get more done. Thanks again Dad for helping Milo & thanks Robin & Mom for spoiling Blakely. :)

PS. This is my other baby that thinks this is her baby blanket.
