Some friends of Milo and I threw us a coed shower/get together on Saturday night in honor of Miss Blakely. We had a really great time hanging out with everyone and just catching up. Blakely was not put down the entire time we were there, so she was in heaven! She was a complete angel and never really cried. She slept the entire party except when she ate and got her diaper changed. The party was the most relaxed shower I have ever been too... I'm definitly a fan of coed showers now. I think having guys at a shower really lightened things up and they were a hoot during the baby food 'test & guess' game. Even though they might have acted like the game itself was dumb, I'm pretty sure the guys enjoyed the game the most. One thing I learned from that game is I will NEVER feed my child Macaroni & Cheese w/ mixed vegetables. That baby food in particular was one of the worst tastes I've ever experienced in my life. Here is a picture of the guys during the game....
Lauren and Matt were smart and stayed clear of the mac & cheese w/ mixed vegetables! Lauren is 29 weeks pregnant, and looks great!
Danielle, one of the hostesses, made party favors that included these PRECIOUS magnets with Blakely's picture & birth info on it. They are adorable!!
My friend Camie who helped throw the shower came, and brought her 2 precious girls. We were both pregnant at the same time. (she made her daughters bow!!! She is going to teach me how!)
Blakely being held by Miss Bethany, her future dance teacher (by the way Bethany, I'm sending Blakely to you to learn how to dance... her momma has 2 left feet)
Blakely being held by the very crafty/talented and 31 weeks pregnant, Danielle. She was a natural holding Blakely... she will take on the role of 'new mommy' with no problems.
Bethany, Danielle, & Kristin. 3 of the 5 Hostesses. They did an outstanding job!
Thank you Bethany & Tony for having the shower at your beautiful home!
While Milo and I opened gifts, our friend Scott volunteered to feed Miss Blakely. She was in heaven, she fell right back to sleep after this picture on his chest. She is already boy crazy, which her father is not happy about.
Milo and I got some great gifts. We got lots of diapers which thrilled me to death since we use about a million a day!
Danielle made us this display/frame, which I am in love with! She said I am supposed to change the pictures out as she gets older, but I dont want her to get any bigger!
This was the baby diaper changing assembly line, near the end of the night. Luckily my daughter didnt pee on the bed... normally when we take her diaper off she pees everywhere like a little boy. :)
