Epidural troubles

Just went back to see Karen. They have her sitting straight up in the bed, because when she lays back she gets shortness of breath and feels like she's going to pass out.

When you get an epidural, they give you a dosage based on your height. Karen has a pretty low tolerance for medicine, so they gave her more than what she really needed. As a result it was causing the epidural to go up a little too high and it was making it hard for her to breathe and her arms were going numb. They had to sit her up and give her oxygen, and that seems to be making her feel better.

As of right now she's still at a 5. They just upped her pitocin, so things may start speeding up here soon! She is in a good mood and feels pretty good! She only had 3 bad contractions before she got her epidural, so everything is going well!
