Celebrating Christmas this year was completely different with a baby and sooooo much more fun! Our family had 2 new additions this year (Blakely and Adalyn) so the living room was definitely full with people and presents!
Our family has several Christmas traditions that we do each year. The first is having EVERYONE spend the night together. There were 14 people all sleeping under one roof on Christmas Eve. Wow! In the morning when everyone starts to stir we make all of the kiddo's stay in the back of the house. Once we are ready to head to the living room we line all of the kids up in the hall by age. The youngest gets to go into the living room first. Robin and I got to be in the line again this year holding our babies! :) Our family has been doing this since we were kids. Everyone finds their stocking and that is where they sit. After we look through our stockings, my nephew Mason reads us the TRUE reason for Christmas from the bible. Once we do that Brian, my brother in law, passes the presents out youngest to oldest. We generally watch everyone open their gifts. It's always fun watching my nephews react to their toys.
Blakely enjoyed opening presents this year, which excited me! Although, about half way through she wasn't very interested anymore and just sat and ate snacks from her stocking. Milo spent the night with the rest of the family on Christmas Eve so that both Blakely would have both her parents with her on her first Christmas.
Santa brought a microphone, some bath toys, and some other goodies for Blakely's stocking this year! That girl LOVES to sing!

Mason, reading the Christmas story.

Present time!! We got Blakely a cell phone, which she loves!

She was already making some phone calls within seconds!

And..... now she is telling her friends what Santa brought her!

Fancy Nancy doll!
