Creative juices..

Lately I have been in the mood to paint. Paint a canvas, paint pottery, paint a wall... anything. I was going to have a painting party last week while Julie was in town, but life got in the way. We are going to do it over Thanksgiving Break though when she comes back in town. Hopefully we can get the girls together before then also.
My older sister is very creative. I wish I had half the raw talent she has when it comes to creating things. Here are some things she has painted.

The last time I painted pottery was with some girls I worked with in College Station. These werent just any ordinary girls. These were architecture majors.... very ARTSY girls. That's part of the architecture package. You need to be artsy. Anyways, we all went to a local pottery store and painted a tall pencil/pen holder. I was pretty confident that I could hang with these girls. Actually in my mind I invisioned winning some sort of office award for best pen holder design or something. Things never panned out for me. My pen holder looked like a first grader painted it. I just made light of the situation. Inside, I died a slow creative death though. sigh.
