Catch up

I'm back, from my blogging hiatus. I needed a break from the Internet world.

Blakely has 2 teeth now! She has done pretty well cutting the teeth. We gave her tylenol, baby orajel, and teething tablets, courtesy of Tanna & Brylee June. It's nice having Tanna who experiences everything with Brylee a few weeks before us, so we can ask her advice. The week Blakely cut her first tooth I had to have a root canal. Sympathy pains for my daughter! I have to admit... one night I used her orajel and teething tablets to help with my own tooth ache. :)

Blakely is becoming increasingly vocal. She squeals/ screams when she plays now, something she learned from her 3 boy cousins. She says bob, dada, help, hi, and bye. I'm still patiently waiting on her to say "mama!"

Blakely has a new baby girl cousin, Adalyn Grace. When Addy was first born Blakely did not like hearing her cry. It freaked her out! Everytime Adalyn would cry Blakely would cry. Now Blakely is used to it and goes about her own business, except for the occasional mimic of sound. Blakely likes to copy now so occasionally she will copy Adalyn.

We are almost ready to crawl. She can get on her knees in a tripod position, but then loses balance when it comes to putting weight on the 2nd arm.

Blakely and I are counting down the days until we go to the beach. Julie & Brian are paying for the 2 of us to live in the life of luxury for 7 days in Gulf Shores, AL. We are staying in a Niiiiiiice condo ON the beach. God has blessed their family and now they are blessing mine. :) Brian has offered to watch Blake while Julie and I do some girl things while we are there. Blakely loves her uncle Buck, so I'm looking forward to the relaxing. I cant wait!
