Getting bigger, and getting ready

I went to the Doctor yesterday afternoon, I think every pregnant person I know went yesterday! Anyways, nothing big to report. The exciting appointments havent really started yet. I do start going every 2 weeks now. My next appt is the day after Milo's birthday (Nov 25th). They will start doing cervix checks starting from my December 10th appt. I'm 31 weeks tomorrow, but measuring 32 weeks. Blakely must have hit a growth spurt. I love my doctor and got the chance to chat with her for a bit regarding the latest she would let me go past my due date. She said they will monitor the babies weight etc, on whether or not they will induce early, but the latest she would let me go is 5 days after my due date. Blakely was very active during the appt. She kicked the nurse's doppler really hard when she was trying to get her heartbeat and we both heard a loud pop noise. When my doctor was measuring me she also commented on how active my child was. I have a feeling she is going to be restless like her daddy. She is head down now and doing well, that's important.

I know this is a long entry.. I will try wrapping it up. After my appointment I ran into Camie, a good friend of mine from Burnett's. She is the one who recommended my dr's office. She had her baby 3 weeks ago, and I was able to see her! She was so precious, she had the hiccups. Camie looked great, already back to her normal skinny self. I hope I drop the weight quickly! After I left the dr. I got in my car and drove maybe 50 feet and then realized I had a flat. This was a major flat, I was sitting on a rim. Luckily my brother in law wasnt too far away and was able to come change it for me. He saved me BIG TIME!

Milo and I went to Babies r Us last night. Milo picked out Blakely 2 dresses, all by himself. He likes to shop for the clothes, I always steer towards the practical items. We are so opposite, and that works perfectly for us. If you look closely, the outfit on the left has a little petticoat. How precious!

Here is Miss Blakely's bow and headband collection so far. Obviously we are lacking in the bow department. I am going to start stocking up now, and trying to make some. We have the headbands covered. Although, I need some nylon headbands for her as an infant.
The other night I bought a bunch of items for our diaper bags. Milo and I are each going to have our own. I found a diaper bag that will do for now for me... it was $16 at Target. Milo on the otherhand is getting one from the Ella Bella in Southlake, if they still have it

You can tell I'm a first time mom.

We each have...
wet wipes for diaper changes, diaper rash ointment, tylenol drops, gas medicine, wet ones for the hands and face, hand sanitizer, a little pouch that holds 10 trash bags (the size of shopping bags) incase of accidents, baby lotion, tissues, q-tips, a first aid kit, shout wipes, baby powder etc. (this doesnt include the burp cloths, bibs, extra change of clothes, bottles, changing pad, and diapers that we also have to include). Okay mom's what am I forgetting?

You are out of control on the whole bow and headband area....and I love it...hahaha!

I think you have everything covered! I love it that your husband wants to have his own diaper bag! So sweet!

So...does this mean you already have your hospital bag ready? So prepared! ;)

We do need to get together soon! I went to my first doctor's appointment today and I did not like them at all. I think I may be switching after tomorrow. We'll see if they make up for what they did today. That would be fun if I had a boy for Blakely! lol. Do they still make arranged marriages? haha I'll give you a better update tomorrow after I speak with and see my doctor. I'm supposed to go back and do an ultrasound. My doctor wants to make sure everything is ok since I've had some mild cramping (something I've read is completely normal). We're praying everything is normal.

Looks like you are all set! For the diaper bag, I would add a shirt for you (or one for Milo in his bag) b/c sometimes baby poo goes everywhere!! Maybe a disposable camera so you're always prepared for those extra cute moments! Congratulations and good luck!
